I wouldn't go that far... but communication is compromise, especially for those of us stymied by it's form and function. One must allow for their verbal room to breathe, and sometimes there are topics I'm not interested in. Often I end up people watching, trying to catch a new tell or signal, or talking inside my own head. Sometimes, I just ask questions obnoxiously - at least in that situation there is new information to process, even if it is superficially and marginally interesting.

The invitation is open if you'd ever like to chat or talk; we're not that far off in age, or experience, it seems. Keep breathing - some days that's all we've got.

I feel the same way. Sure, I could say the things that would make everybody like me, but it would not be completely genuine. Maybe that's how society works? Maybe were supposed to "act" a little, in order to please people from the social class that we choose/fall into? I don't know, but it sure seems that way. :shrug:

Also, keep in mind that my preferences for friends are separate than those for a romantic partner.

Otherwise, depending on your predilections, there could be a really small pool of candidates for friends...

Experiencewise, I am not really qualified to give dating advice, but I would think that the ideal romantic partner, should also be your best friend.

Yes and no. I consider them to be different catagories. Yes, your romantic partner should be like your best friend, but ideally you should also have a best friend.
At least this is what works best for me.

I don't feel like I belong on here anymore because:

a) I don't talk about video games.

b) I try to ask how I can improve myself in terms of making myself be more attractive to people--rather than make misogynistic/racist generalizations, like I've seen recently.

c) I try to be mature and responsible and helpful.

d) I'm not an atheist/agnostic/pagan

There are only maybe 4 or 5 female Aspies in the Austin-San Antonio area, and all of them are already in relationships.

And the chances of a conservative person becoming liberal are pretty much zero.
