This attitude towards sex does not make one a better person than one who likes to wallow in it, Hale Bopp.

I don't think she claimed it does.

Maybe it is some peoples special interests. You know asexual going on about how they don't like sex gets on peoples nerves too. You have to learn to be tolerant of differences. Otherwise carry on and keep being upset - it's your choice.

Easier to just admit that I can't say anything nice. The topic header is a cliched invitation to an argument and sounds overbearing.

Sex is natural, and aside from drinking, eating, breathing, sleeping, and the elimination of bodily waste, what other natural activities are there to discuss?

Yeah exactly.

I don't see people talking about it much in real life. I am always by myself is why and we have a lot of immies at work so they speak their own language and I don't hang out with other people. Only people I have to deal with who talk about sex is my bf and boy do I get mad at him when he acts like a pig.

haha. If she doesn't like talking about it, she doesn't have to join in with the discussion. And I think sex is more interesting to talk about, rather than those other options!

I get a little annoyed when people take sex too seriously. Sometimes when I make a sex joke I get people complaining to me that sex is too serious a topic to make fun of. What the f**k?

And when people make fun of me for being a virgin they sometimes get so nasty when I respond by making fun of them for being STD laden whores (although I suspect the reason they get so mad at this is because I hit the nail on the head.)

The part that I don't like is when people are obsessed about sex and are nasty about it, so they are obsessed with harshly criticizing others over sexual matters. This is supposed to be a private and sensitive thing.

Maybe I do know what Hale Bopp is talking about, because while I think that sex itself is wonderful, a lot of the talk and the offers are hostile, actual acts of hatred against sexuality. It's why insane levels of horniness were invented because it can take an insanely strong drive to want to work through the dirt and the BS.

Not really.. I pretty much had a nervous breakdown last night and totally went to pieces. Being forced to deal with the public today then excersising has helped, but thanks for your concern :)

As for the bitchy replies in here.. I don't know why you have to be so damn bitchy.. I was ranting about something that I found annoying because I went to pieces.. if you want to be a c**t about it then PM me. I never said I was BETTER than people because i'm sick of hearing about sex. it was a RANT, and offload of EMOTION. How DARE you suggest that I think that?

But how often does that happen in real life? People going on about how they don't like sex? When, where? Give me a break! It’s the majority who don’t have the common courtesy to not push their assumption that everyone wants sex on me.

Truth is society is very intolerant of asexual people. When I admit to people that I've never gone on a date they automatically pity me, assuming that I want sex and can't get any. When I tell them it's a choice they ask if I'm gay. When I tell them I'm not gay they go silent (probably silently wondering if I'm a pedophile or something). Would that kind of sh*t not irritate you?

Just a curious question: Are you really asexual? or just heterosexual who got sick of people talking about sex? You can reply by pm and you don't have to reply at all.
