There always a chance she might convert? :D

Sheila used to be a tree hugging vegetarian, and me a killer of cute furry and feathered critters. While I haven't got her to come along on a hunt, she sees the benefit of my boys going off on hunting trips. In a sense I converted her.

Anyway, IMHO it doesn't much matter by what name you call your God.

I would miss you if you left, but by the same token I may break free from the WP addiction again and leave myself :?

I don't feel that I can date non-Christians. The reason being that I am sensitive to loud noises, and many people in Texas attend those "megachurches", which are usually associated with charismatic Pentecostal preachers, who are extremely conservative. And they talk loud and often scream in their sermons.

(It should also be noted that San Marcos is less than 50 miles from San Antonio, where the Cornerstone Church is based. Their pastor is John Hagee, known for his inflammatory rhetoric)

Sorry Tim, but your logic eludes me.

Wouldn't that be a reason for not going to those types of churches not a reason for dating a non-Christian? Or are you saying the people at the church would give you a hard time for dating a non-Christian? Can't you reply that you are reaching out to embrace others who do not yet believe?

This is what I am concerned with.

Meanwhile my friendship with her (the subject of this thread) is still there.

I don't think you should allowed yourself to be pressured by what other people think. You're know you're a good guy, so do what you want and f**k anyone that has a problem with it.

There are only two places where I can meet like-minded people: Seattle and San Francisco, two cities that are permanently out of my price range. And even then, the Aspie populations there are very small.

The Aspie population will be small wherever you guy, just because it's a tiny demographic. It's not like it's something broad like "liberal" or "conservative."

Virtually all female Aspies who have the same interests and beliefs are either (a) happy being single, or (b) already in relationships.

There are only three female Aspies in the Austin-San Antonio area, all of them married.

Portland Oregon is supposed to be very nice, I don't have any idea of its aspie population, but it seems to be a fairly liberal place, with a lower cost of living, then some other places on the west coast

The only city in the Pacific Northwest in my price range is Boise, Idaho, and it is anything but liberal. Although not in the Pacific Northwest, virtually any significant population center in Montana is affordable, but both Idaho and Montana are quite conservative.

Actually Atheists, Agnostics and Theo-Apatheics are all nice and not extremely keen on loud noises.

Buddhists are nice too.

Hindi seem nice.

Can't say much for all the other non-Christian religions... Possibly stay away from Satanists, you might not have much in common.

There are a couple of satanist members here, who IMO are better people than many of the so-called "Christians" - the neo-nazi types Tim has referred to elsewhere.

If you are thinking of moving as far as Seattle, what about Canada?

What about somebody who isn't overly religious? There are many girls like that out there!

I found these two websites in less than 5 minutes. There are more Aspies than you think in the Austin area.

http://www.aspiesofaustin.com

Missoula, Montana is very nice and is also known for being a liberal area too, and has a good university, University of Montana, also there is alot of good fishing around there.
