I contacted ASS-P's high school last week. Most of the staff was gone because it was the beginning of summer break. I did reach the secretary to the administrator who told me that someone from the guidance office would contact me on July 2nd about obtaining old transcripts.

July 2nd came but I never heard from the guidance office, so I called the school again. This time they had more staff on board. One person transferred my phone call to another person who, in turn, redirected my phone call to another party. Eventually, it now looks like the person I'd have to speak to is a lady from the Office of the Registrar. I left her a message but she hasn't gotten back to me.

Today's a holiday. Tomorrow I'll call the Registrar's Office again. If she's not there I'll keep on trying till she comes in. At this point, I think a letter to the Registrar in regards to obtaining ASS-P's transcripts is probably in order, but that might have to be done by ASS-P himself as it might require his signature. Still, I want to hear from the Registrar herself what the proper procedure, as well as fee, is.

Way to go RedRobin!!

ASS-P, Ezra never mentioned anything about the GED. in his post. No one has mentioned it. You WERE exaggerating.

I can’t see where he said anything like that at all recently. He’s been pretty positive until you started yelling at him.

...I went in to these motels post-being in the hospitak, as the money from Bruh"s estate presented itself, myself not having been sure that there was any before, just as I was out of the hospital - and back pain.presented itself :( .
Since then, this ceaseless soap opera of me possibly needing an eye operation, but the follow-up eye doctor visit to decide that being delayed again and again and again  (I lost an earlier draft - an d this phone is INCREDIBLY tending to be slow and freezing  )

What will you do if you don’t need an eye operation, or if it doesn’t require hospital stay? I had eye surgery a few years ago and went home the same day.

For some reason, I'm thinking either cataracts, or something to do with diabetes---like diabetic retinopathy.

Cataracts are usually done on an out patient basis. I had a torn retina and it was pretty much in and out but I couldn’t go out or do anything for a week after. I can see with diabetic issues they might keep you in for a few days. My mother lost her sight due to poorly managed diabetes.

Yes, but nobody here is his family, or care givers, or social workers. And he is attempting to get them to do stuff for him.

If he cant get his own transcripts, he wont be able to do any of the other unfun stuff he has to in order to start school, that's a fact. Do you expect RR to fill out his aps, housing and financial aid forms? Arrange his transport and housing? The list goes on.

That’s true. There are professionals that could help him with this stuff much more effectively in person.

They aren’t hard to access either.

I’m thinking that ASS-P just wants to rant and isn’t actually interested in improving his situation.

Others have also come to that conclusion. The problem is that over the years a good percentage of his rants have been in the form of guilt tripping the WP user base. And screaming and shaking his fist at the WP user base. So it goes well beyond someone just making personal rants.

He will go on and on about something he needs, like someone to teach him how to use a computer. Then we will suggest things like taking free courses at the public library. Then he will come up with reasons why it's impossible for him to do that, and then insult the advice givers and tell them how they don't want him to ever learn how to use a computer and if only someone here would personally help him etc. He's pulled this same routine over many different things.

I think the whole thing is basically an act. Even if all his problems are genuine, he's still putting on a performance and working the audience.

There was a time my mother was driving me crazy. With therapy, I learned the following mindset:

I will help you if I can. If there is nothing I can do for you, I will not walk your paths of depression with you. I can be devoted to you without destroying myself. I will visit you, phone you, make you laugh, have deep conversations as you wish. I would take you out if you would go. Then I will pick up my own life and live it fully; I am cutting the tie that binds.

That worked, as regards my own freedom of emotion.

Why do I tell you this? Because this whole thread has become about your disappointed expectations of OP. It's all about you! And you disrespect him, seemingly because he does not adhere to your standards. Oh, you poor lambs, you sincerely tried to help and your help was not well received. It's your first time on the merry-go-round? There are lots of people on this planet, not made to your prerequisites.

Offer what you will but when you see it's not working, back off, settle down and accept him 'as is.'

This whole thread has been like every other OP thread going back ten years.

I think we should evaluate our personal contributions to such threads, not line up with the morality of the mob.

Very well said, Claradoon.

Do you two really think after 10 years of making the exact same kind posts, ASS-P doesn't want most of the kind attention he's receiving? If you just want people to stop enabling it, then please just say so instead of disguising as something else.
