i see no sexism, just a dislike of traditional male roles that put most men in uncomfortable pigeon holes. all of my husband's romantic relationships were initiated by the woman. he and marknis deserve respect for courage in being who they are despite countervailing culture. marknis has been abused for his views. if he states them more strongly than you like, try to understand what happened to make him so adamant.

Mark, it is not your fault you do not have a girlfriend. Given that gender roles in your region sometimes put men in uncomfortable situations, just remember that you will find happiness eventually, but let that feeling come to you first.
