yeah but the paratransit was going to take a few months. most likely tho they just didn't know. it's possible that they just wanted to see you get healthier rather than being out to get you. could be those who 'want to see you locked away in a loony bin' also just want to see you get some of your health back.

The more you talk about Patterson, the more I'm happy you got out of there.

Too many people prey on the homeless and vulnerable on account of their having no recourse to correct injustice.

considering how evil most everyone in these threads are portrayed to be, how much stock can be put into how evil patterson was.

and what licensed facility is going to pick someone with basically no money if all they're interested in is ripping people off. "daniel" scored a whole $350 for two 110 mile 2 1/2 hour moving trips plus other side trips. not much of a rip-off artist.

...Thank you, X. Now, for some more. Dani charging a C for the .over up is I guess more justifiable and I think I said that. Biking it up forty dollars for the trip back? When it had less side errand than the trip up, though?
More Daniel: He saw one of the things I'd bought when I thought I was settling down at the place - a Crosley combination turntable-CD-audiocassette player, my first having a turntable in twenty?? years :) He said " Why don't you give it to me? " 8O ! !! !! !! !! !! That I should give him that music. player! :P EVEN if this was a joke it was extraordinarily inappropriate! This is a " substitute parent " of sorts we're speaking of :x :(!

considering the gross distortions and outright lies about what people post in these threads and the extremely harsh attitude towards them, what can be believed.

...A local I came into contact with in Patterson, when I told him of my COPD, told me that the dry, hot, air, in an area where they raise walnuts and almonds, would have too much dust in the air got me :x !
Avmbout what I paid for the Patterson place - I was told it was about $900. Far more than a " nice " SRO would take. I paid it without compaint, and I didn't say how much it was before. Daniel got plenty of money from me :x!:( :|

I see this Patterson apartment business and taxi fares thingy won't end any time soon, so I did a little investigation.

1a. El Solyo Village Senior Apartments, 850 No. 2nd Ave., Patterson, CA 95363 (209)892-8806. They currently have a subsidized downtown one bedroom unit available. In Stanislaus County the Fair Market Rent for this unit would be $726. It would be less based on your income.

http://www.rentalhousingdeals.com/CA/Pa ... Apartments

1b. Your rent could be less because of rental assistance qualifications: You pay 30% if you make less than $12,750, 50% if it's less than $21,250 but more than $12,750, and 80% if it's less than $34,000 but more than $21,250.

https://affordablehousingonline.com/hou ... ments/3668

1c. El Solyo is 2 blocks away from the 45E bus line stop at No. 1st Ave. and Walnut Ave. It's 5 blocks away from the 76 gas station where you can get your chicharon fix in the middle of the night if you want.

https://www.srt.org/maps-schedules/coun ... route-45e/

1d. Re: Air quality in Patterson, CA. It's 48, meaning moderate. And it's the same as Port Townsend, WA.

https://www.weatherbug.com/air-quality/ ... n-ca-95363

2. There are 5 ways to get from Patterson to Modesto by bus, taxi, car, towncar or legs:

Bus - 50 minutes - 90 cents (disabled)
Taxi - 24 minutes - $50 to $60
Drive - 24 minutes - $1 to $3
Uber - 24 minutes - $17 to $23
Hitchhiking - an entire day - priceless (Cash, grass or ass - nobody rides for free).

^Now that you've made a point that he cannot refute, prepare for a massive change of subject to another area of grievance, like the "skinky dinky dee" thing or whatever the heck it's called.

If you find some place similar, but better, than Patterson, I’ll do research on transportation options.

I don't know what's so bad about Patterson other than what ASS-P says here on WP , but here ya go:

1. There are 1,555 small US cities with a population (10,000 to 24,000) that is roughly the same as Patterson (21,000).

https://www.statista.com/statistics/241 ... tion-size/

2. Patterson has about 40 restaurants, from fine dining (Apricot Wood California BBQ, Concetta) to the places ASS-P can't live without - Wendy's, McDonald's, Carl's Jr, KFC, Domino's Pizza, Jack in the Box, Panda Express, Denny's.

https://www.yelp.com/c/patterson-ca-us/restaurants

3. They have several recreational facilities and sports fields such as Hammon Senior Center, Walnut Grove Gym, Patterson Aquatic Center, Sports Firld and Ball Diamonds.

http://www.ci.patterson.ca.us/426/Facility-Reservations

4. The resources for adults and senior services at the Stanislaus County Library include Computer Classes, Home Delivery Service, Volunteer Opportunities, Useful Websites, and Library Materials in audio and large print.

http://www.stanislauslibrary.org/tk_adults.shtm

5. ^And that's the main Modesto Branch. The smaller Patterson Public Library at 46 N. Salado Ave. is roughly 7 blocks away from the El Solyo Village Adult Apartments.

https://www.mapquest.com/us/california/ ... y-12083954

6. Racially and politically, Stanislaus County leans to the left especially in blueish Patterson which is roughly 50% white and 50% Hispanic.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Unit ... California

7. A cursory glance through the Police Logs in the Patterson newspaper shows that a lot of crimes are property-involved as well as speeding, domestic violence and vandalism.

http://www.goldenstatenewspapers.com/pa ... irrigator/

8. As luck would have it, the safest neighborhood in Patterson is Westley/Grayson where the El Solyo apartments are.

https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/ca/patterson/crime

9. They've also had no murders. None, zero, zip.

https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/ca/patterson/crime

10. The closest movie house is Brenden Theatres, 18 miles and 32 minutes away in downtown Modesto. Cost for a cripple to get there by No. 40 bus? 90 cents. The closest Route 40 bus stop to El Solyo? 1 1/2 blocks at No. 2nd St. and L St.

https://www.yellowpages.com/listings/740885/directions

https://www.srt.org/maps-schedules/countywide/route-40/

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=850+no.+2nd+a ... &iaxm=maps

11. Patterson, CA has one homeless shelter - HOST House at 405 So. 4th St. (209)894-2652. (HOST stand for Helping Others Sleep Tonight). They also have the Medical Mobile Unit conveniently come to the center every so often.

http://host-patterson.weebly.com/

https://www.facebook.com/hosthousepatterson/

12. Community Services Agency West County Service Center is at 101 West Las Palmas Ave., Patterson, 8 blocks away from El Solyo near Patterson City Hall, the US Post Office, two city parks, and several supermarkets. They're open Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm and offer typical gov't assistance such as Welfare to Work, WIC, food stamps (CalFresh), MediCal, etc.

Read 'em and weep.

Why would you say that?

He’s gone from Patterson, and won’t go back.

Your research was very instructive. Better than what I do.

Why would I think your research was useless? You misunderstood me.
