You're in high school right? Trust me when I say that there are some sectors of college where you're surrounded by so many geeks it can almost be suffocating.

My parents divorced over 10 years ago. No, the reason I haven't seen my dad in over a year is kind of personal, but I'll just say that it's because he's a recovering alcoholic, so it's neither physically nor emotionally easy for me to see him.

Well, I'm at the Uni, and we mostly translate Caesar and Catullus.
We don't focus on speaking at all, merely translating - but I reckon since I'm in Europe the education system and syllabus might be different. As for grammars - I've been using Bennet's and some of the local grammar books.

The old series is much better than the new one in my opinion. The original Diana set the standard for practically all evil characters thereafter... malicious, scheming, mind twisting femme fatale. The new one is superficial and uninteresting that it seems they just used the character slot to put more boobs to display for ratings.
I don't mind being somewhat of a geek. Since 'geekness' involves knowledge... be it of stuff too advanced for most people or stuff so irrelevant even you wonder how the heck you know it... then it ain't a bad thing.
