Tonight I had a fight with my mom about my orientation. She overheard me on the phone talking to my best friend about my new love interest(who,OF COURSE,is a girl).
She said,"I just DON'T understand how someone can love a member of their own sex!"
I said,"Why don't you stop b!tching about it and go find out?"
She started screaming at me and sh!t.The last thing she said was,"Why would ANYONE want to be gay?"
God,I swear I hate that woman with a passion.I,for one thing, didn't choose to be gay and nor do I WANT to be gay.I just want to be with the one I love.

haven't read all the pages yet...
but i know how it sucks to have an un-understanding-yet-opinionated mom...
all i can say is it gets better after you move out. so maybe try not to tell her to stop bitching... eye rolling is ok... things will smooth over as you get older. your'e almost there! just try not so say things that will be hard to get over... cause you know you have the highground on this topic...
at sometime, it will sink in for her and she will figure she'll have to accept it or not (aka-lose you)
least it's in her consciousness...
i'm all for a social reform, personally... send all kids off to some kind of campus (boarding school style) where they can come home on the weekends if they want and such but don't have to stay with parents. that way, they can focus all their adolescent angst against some kind of authority figure instead of parents... think this would be good for both sides of the family.
