Unless you're the 'mom' helping to run the mom and pop store- sleeping with the boss is usually not a good idea.

Either get a different job.

Get a bf who works at different workplace.

Or both.

ASAP!

And get counsuling for anorexia.

And take up social dancing- as a substitute for not eating to loose weight- and to meet guys.

Useful, or not at all.

it is not useful to me. i have no desire to steer my life around according to an unsolicited map of uncertified "beliefs".

so good night.
It isn't supposed to be useful to YOU, it's MY thread!

IT'S not your thread!
It's an open discussion of ideas, beliefs and options
based on your opening ignorance
IT IS our duty as Wp posters to discuss, disabuse , discontinue and confuse
any ideas of fairness, rightness, self importance and/or any other fairly useless stereotypes on offer
Actually it is my thread, which I started for the purpose of getting support.
If you want to spout rubbish then I suggest you start your OWN thread to do so.

Actually,
I pour my heart into my posts
I care so much I break down in tears, pretty much,
:(

I cared about your problem
I tried to help

that is surprising. i respect(ed) you because you never change your avatar which made me think you were stable and not prone to soppy emotionalism.

i can not find any post of yours in this thread which was designed to help her.
the only post you made in this thread was a seemingly remonstrative post, and your claim that you "tried to help" is spurious in my opinion.

Tallyman posted this in guidelines for The Haven. Responder's should read and heed this before posting here.

"The Haven is a special forum on Wrong Planet, unlike all the others. It is a place for members to post when they are feeling low or need support and help from other members.

The Haven is not a place to debate religion or atheism. Attacking a member's religious views is not appropriate and similarly trying to persuade an atheist to pray to God or Jesus for support is not appropriate either. Keep religious debates where they belong - in PPR (the Politics, Philosophy, and Religion forum). However, members can ask for prayers or advice pertinent to their own religion and other members are expected to respect that member's beliefs.

Threads created in The Haven are made to seek immediate help, consolation or emotional support and responses should be made which directly address those needs only. Keep replies on topic and pertinent to the thread originator's needs. If you don't have anything supportive to say, don't post in that thread. Do not make confrontational posts.

If someone is feeling suicidal and asking for advice on how to commit suicide, DO NOT GIVE SUCH ADVICE. It is not appropriate under any circumstances to provide help to someone on these forums to kill themselves (for both moral and legal reasons). Instead try to be supportive and encourage the member to express their problems and how they are feeling.

Finally, there is no problem with some lightness in The Haven, but never let that stray from laughing WITH people to laughing AT them."

Alycat, sorry for the distraction. But I am sure there are responders willing to continue the conversation in the right spirit if you wish to continue.

Thanks b9 and Toy soldier.

I'm struggling still. I usually have Saturdays with my parents, but recently they've had a lot of trips away, friends over etc, so I haven't really seen them. Then my brother was home this weekend, so again I didn't get to spend time with them - when he's around it's all about him.

It seems like so many things are going wrong in my life all at once, and I don't seem able to stop them. I can't see any of them getting better any time soon either.

there is no need to feel sad. i made a social blunder in this thread before you did, and i am sure it will be forgotten soon. i am unhappy that i cannot think of anything to say to her that is on topic, so i will go now, but i do not like that you may feel sad, but your "embarrassment" is not an issue that is relevant to this thread i guess. just cop a few slugs and move on.

No it will not be, evil one  Seriously, who cares.

The information that I left was something to consider, and definitely not to believe - it certainly wasn't me pushing anything. I don't understand your reaction to it - however, it's really about the OP. And this is the Haven.

Having said that, it was ironic that you didn't think about what I said before you posted, because it actually fitted your post to a tee. :D Edit - But who cares, there are more important things right now - I hope you are safe, for instance, and you have my best wishes.

I hope things are getting better for the OP, and for you.

Brothers.... I have one that always feels he must put on a show/entertain. Drives me batty.

A whole life is a big thing & impossible to assess in tiny glimpses. But I am willing to guess at drifts or general currents, if something comes to mind. Let me compare a person to a ship.

They made choices on their course that led them into a storm. Now they are in it and must make new choices in course. Do they change course in unknown direction that will lead them out of the storm or do they stay on the original course that will keep them in it longer? Either way they must still weather the storm for some time yet, for even the way out has rough water to cross.
