This place does seem quite toxic to me. I've only gotten worse since checking this place out. Hasn't been much of an 'autistic haven' as far as I'm concerned. But I'm used to posting here now.

I find this site has really gone downhill over the past year. Other than a handful of regulars, it's almost like my posts are invisible. I put a lot into giving advice and nobody (not even the OP) even bothers to acknowledge my effort. Oh well, it was a great site at one point.

Yes, you did and I appreciate that. I do recall a few times when you did not though in the past, particularly a long PM I sent once. It just feels like I am invisible on every message boards I have no idea why. Don't want to take away from the OP so I will leave it at that. I know I can be blunt and direct but I would have assumed that Aspies would understand and appreciate that.

You are right, I don't always respond to PMs. It's nothing against that person, including you. People don't always get time or they are too mentally exhausted to respond. Don't take it personally from anyone. I mean say if you said you were feeling suicidal or really needed someone to talk to - I would not ignore you then.

That, and I can only really deal with a few people at a time. It makes it easier for me to respond if you keep your PMs short to midlength, otherwise I tend to get overwhelmed. I always read them, though.

Just a word to the wise, and please don't take this as a criticism... but the animated GIF in your avatar annoys my eyes so I try to skip past it as fast as I can. It's nothing personal, and it has everything to do with my own sensory issues.

I might possibly respond to your posts if you had a static avatar.
