OCD is caused by demons
How do you know which ones are your own? You don't really know. scary huh? that's why people adopt creeds or belief systems, that way, any thoughts that contravene the basic creed can be rejected.
I'm sorry, but you are an idiot. A complete and utter moron.
Every single thought in a person's head belongs to them and them alone. It is the belief that things are otherwise that is the mark of a disturbed mind, and building on that belief just causes further pain and disruption. People have a habit of dissociating themselves from aspects of their personality that they do not wish to accept... If a voice in your head says something; you are the one thinking it; even if it hurts you; even if it shames you, you must recognise that all you are hearing is the voice of your own insecurities, or a part of yourself you are choosing to ignore.
Believing otherwise is madness.
I’ve tested this hypothesis in myself, on voices I’ve had captive in my mind.
They all turned out to be me. Not monsters, just words in my head. All they could say was what I expected to hear from them. If I called them angels, they would soothe me. If I called them demons, they would harm me. Once I realised this, they became depersonalized; I no longer feared them as monsters and they faded back into my mind.

lol
I hope that was a joke.
I believe you all are familiar with Mozart and the Whale, either the book or the movie, I remember I read somewhere that Mary Newport, apart from AS also had savant abilities, some people, including some of her family, due to ignorance, believed that she was possessed by demons and wanted exorcism to be performed on her.

Hey, you are the idiot my friend. People here were having a cililized discussion on their beliefs of something and then you go spewing attacks. Couldent you have simply said something like:
I disagree, I think every thought that enters a persons head is their own thought.

I am not a church Christian, I agree with the words of Jesus. A good man in any time.
Our selves are not a medical problem to be treated.
Millions have died at the stake in flames, many were Aspies. Early treatment, religious curebis.
Most problems are caused by Elementals, minor spirits, they can be overcome, cast out.
Imps seem to be the worst.
The Universe was Created. 10,000,000,000 years later DNA was Created, Once.
All of life is related.
I do not think The Universe created it's self from nothing, I think it was Created.
It took 10,000,000,000 years to build the elements to Create DNA, it happened once.
All was trapped in stars, that had to explode to spread it where it was cool enough to survive, warm enough to grow, and that happened once, 5,000,000,000 years ago.
As it seems a standard plan, elements and energy, all worlds were most likely stocked with the same DNA.
The Jinn are much older than the flesh. They do not change, do not grow, do not die.
Living flesh is a recent development. Some of the Jinn are not happy about this.
The usual, new beings with new powers moving in.
Most of the Jinn are content to go with the plan.
Some miss the good old days, before light, matter, time, they miss darkness, and want it to return.
Imperfect as it is, our awareness that there is not something holding the stars several miles up, that the Earth moves, not the Sun, that The Universe is really, really, big. Is a very recent development.
Our knowledge of the spiritual world, that we are not alone, is very, very old.
People may have a medical condition, or not, they all do have a Spiritual condition.
Flesh without Spirit is called dead.
Flesh that denys the Spirit is the living dead.
Living in the flesh will get you Herpies,
Living in the Spirit will bring you knowlege, peace, and joy.
Budda said it does not matter if there is a creator or not, nothing changes for us.
We are only what we can know, our lot, our gift. There is a source, a higher Gift Wave.
O'Benevolent Gift Waves of Reality,
grant me the ability to know all things,
by seeing, hearing, and reflecting.

First of all, I'm not your friend. Sorry to break your little delusion, there. And secondly, I had an important point to make, which happens to be close to my heart. I believe I have a right to express my opinion, in whatever wording I choose. Tell me... did you even read the rest of my post? Have you bothered to read my other posts in this thread?
I suggest you do so.
F**ktard.
Thank you.

Never read the Koran though.
When I spent a brief internship in a psychiatric institution I could really feel what seemed like demons in the (atmosphere? not the correct word). I had to get out of there. It was really intense and painful for me.
Why doesn't the bible talk about AS? Why doesn't the bible talk about dinosaurs? Because it is useless. Get a science book.
Exposed, the lesser elementals will come with hateful and vile words from the mouths of the Imp infested.
They curse the light, spew foul words, for they have no truth. One they will ride to the lake of fire, where they will not die, only their host's body. Then they will posess the weak spirit for all time.
Once Behemoth and Livatian walked the earth. They are no more. Such was the plan. You too, dust.
He who has eyes, let him see,
he who has ears, let him hear,
for the word is in all things.
Not Tibetian Book of the Dead, but very close.
Imps will say you are but a sack of meat, nothing but matter, your thoughts and feelings nothing but chemicals interacting. Come here and renounce the rest, they say, claim only this moment, and to keep their host, speak ill of all paths, there is nothing they say, for that is the way to the lake of fire.
Be deaf to their words. They can only attack the truth, for they have none of their own they would dare speak.
The Creator gave man power over the Jinn, they can only prey on the weak and uninformed. They wish to rule man, but their way leads to eturnal death, the slave of an Imp. It is all they have.
Confronted with Light, and the Word, they can only hiss, spew falsehoods, and try to decieve.
They show their weakness, their nature, and try to change the subject.
See what little they have? Name calling, spitting venom, seeking anger to feed on.
They exist to cause suffering, to draw ever down into darkness, into the lake of fire.
Man was given a knowledge of good and evil. A power. See evil? Know there is good.
There are two paths, chose which you would walk.
Who would you chose as Master, The Creator, or an Imp?
Hi everyone
A comment in response to dktekno’s post. I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I have a diagnosis for OCD, it is very likely that I also have AS or some other ASD however a diagnosis is not easy to get for an adult requiring a duel diagnosis or indeed any diagnosis of an ASD. I have an adult son with diagnosed AS.
It is becoming more accepted now amongst mental health professionals that OCD is a neurological disorder. In my opinion there is a relationship between OCD and autism and indeed of course OCD often presents with many people on the spectrum. I have a website which focuses upon OCD and other anxiety disorders and also a blog and explanation why I believe I may also have AS - which incidentally if you were to read it and give me your opinion I would be appreciative: Links to the aforementioned at the end of this message
Before becoming aware of the possibility that in addition to OCD I may have AS I wrote an autobiography called ‘Demons of the mind: A memoir of an obsessive compulsive.’ After reading this post I am seriously considering changing the title, as I would not care for anyone to take the title literally.
In the beginning of my full blown OCD most of the obsessions and compulsions where of a religious nature and much of what I describe in my memoir beginning with Chapter Seven could well lead anyone, with the appropriate belief system, to quite well believe that I was and still am possessed of a demon. And during this time in my life when I was beset by these awful thoughts, which appeared to come into my mind entirely of their own volition, there where times when even against my better judgement I considered that I was possessed. These thoughts where of a blasphemous nature. However rather than the medieval concept of demonic possession after a time I began to consider this phenomenon in a more modern context. Therefore instead of the medieval style demon or evils spirit I began to consider the notion that there may live in dimensions which exist right alongside our own, of which we are not aware, incorporeal beings. Indeed science gives serious consideration to the existence of such alternative or parallel universes or dimensions. I had the idea that in such hypothetical planes of existence there could exist incorporeal beings, which through countless eons of evolution now exist as pure energy and are able to torment those of us who are susceptible by implanting thoughts of this nature, thoughts experienced by an OCD sufferer. A ridiculous notion I am sure and it was only considered hypothetically and was no doubt the result of my reading or watching too much Sci fi, but in the dark moments when one is alone with ones thoughts, which is in reality all the time, such notions occur particularly as at the time I had no idea what was happening to me, I had never heard of OCD or obsessional neurosis as it was once called.
Now of course for the most part I believe OCD like autism to be neurological but still there is that odd pang of fear which sadly is so easily ignited by comments such as those of this poster, which of course he or she is entitled to make as indeed during the throes of severe OCD with religious obsessions it is quite easy to believe one is being tormented by demons. And who knows, we can prove that something exists but we cannot prove that it doesn’t although I think that demonic possession or influence is extremely unlikely. I continue to get these thoughts from time to time despite not being committed to any religious belief and for the most part I am agnostic even atheist.
OCD is a most bizarre condition, you are in a way divided against yourself, compelled to adhere to obsessions and compulsions which in the cold light of day you know are ludicrous. Yet at times these thoughts are terrifyingly real and in the beginning of the manifestation of OCD when I had no insight these notions at times took on psychotic proportions. For six agonsing months I did not question the appropriateness of my thoughts or my behaviours.
Yes indeed it is possible to mistake such thoughts as demonic possession or influence. Had I read this post when this manifestation of OCD first presented I would have been scared indeed.
One last comment to dktekno you are not a moron or dumb or whatever other derogatory things you said about yourself. People with OCD are above average intelligence, Howard Hughes for example, who incidentally I consider may also have had AS.
OCD is a neurological disorder and is therefore not your fault.

My article why I think I may have AS: Aspergers Syndrome A Personal Consideration
I can understand the frustration of people here who view "demons" from a purely psychological standpoint, and then hear people claiming superstitious beliefs. How can I understand this if I believe there to be a spiritual element? Because I know many people who take it too far. As a Christian, I believe such things to exist, but am too much of a skeptic to take any claim to the spiritual nature of things seriously unless I see very good evidence. There are people who do not understand how logic or the real world works, so they just shove God or the devil into any crack in the world they do not understand, the "God of the gaps" idea.
But here is the other side: is it possible that there are things in this world we cannot explain through purely physical phenomena? I think anyone that professes a belief in God or a soul will agree, and indeed the vast majority of Americans, and I am going to assume the most people on this forum agree that God and the soul exist, or at least do not disbelieve.
So take that to the next step. If such things are possible, why is it stupid to believe that there are malevolent spirits that exist? Perhaps you do not think there is reason to believe in them, but refrain from calling people stupid that do believe in them. Perhaps you disbelieve in God, perhaps you are a materialist. OK, fine, perhaps you are intelligent, but there are just as many if not more intelligent educated people that view the world and hold the opposite view.
If you concede that a belief in God, the supernatural, or the soul, can be held according to a rational or educated view of the world, then it is NOT irrational to believe demons exist, even if most phenomena easily attributed to such beings has a physical explanation.
And if an intelligent person who believes in God decides to put their stock in Christianity as the true representation of God, then they believe the Bible. The Bible, as part of it's doctrine, holds devils as real and influential in the world, that is a simple fact of the Christian faith. So if you are going to attack someone for belief in such things, then you had better be ready to attack the entire Christian religion, which is a much larger task.
Aridarr, refrain from personal attacks on general belief, especially associated with religion. You know, I disagree with Islam, and I believe many of its tenets to be irrational, but if someone believes it and expresses beleifs associated with it that do not make sense, I will debate them on those, and debate them on the truth of their religion, but I'm not going to just say, "you are a complete moron for believing that".
Now when it comes to a specific instance where someon attributes demons to something completely explainable, go ahead and tell them they are being irrational. Someone for instance, that thinks the devil caused them to have a car accident or that think any single emotional whim they have at the moment is the devil or god. These people often are fundamentalists.
But when it comes to psychology and the soul, or God, there are certain things we just do not know enough about to say someone is being superstitious for a certain belief. Perhaps they are, since the belief may be either completely true or completely false. But you don't know that, and you don't know that someone is irrational for coming to a different conclusion than you.
And secondly, I had an important point to make, which happens to be close to my heart. I believe I have a right to express my opinion, in whatever wording I choose.
Yeah, no crap you have the right to express your opinion, you were just asked you to be respectful. I find it pretty stupid when as soon as someone says something critical of anothers opinion they whine that they are trying to take away their right to say what they want, ignoring the fact that they are being hypocrites by doing exactly what they claimed the other was doing (trying to tell the other person what they should or should not say or how to express it). As soon as the debate becomes about who has the right to say what, it becomes silly and pointless. Look, just be respectful in debate and if you are and they are not, you also have the right to ask them to be respectful.
