-1 deep depression.
I am about to be evicted from my apartment, which is in a complex owned by the county, because 1) I am unable to meet HUD cleanliness standards and 2)I have a massive problem with cockroaches, which I have had since moving into this apartment. Management’s attitude is eliminating roaches is solely a clenliness issue, and I am solely responsible for its upkeep. Since my stay in the hospital last year for kidney stones, as well as stage 3 kidney disease, I can barely keep up with keeping this place clean and roach-free.
While I do participate in a PACE program (known as SeniorLIFE in PA) for my medical and household needs (I have both Medicaid and Medicare, I have been getting nothing but grief from my social worker at SeniorLIFE for my lack of clenliness and is refusing to allow their housekeeping anywhere my apartment, despite my reliance on a walker. I also talked to my social worker here at the apartment complex, who also works with autistic children (no, she doesn’t use ABA, since that was the first question out of my mouth). The second inspection of my apartment for clenliness occurs on 30 October, after which, if it still doesn’t pass inspection, I’ll be evicted.
It’s bad enough not being able to get around very well. I’ve been looking at assisted living complexes, except with monthly rents starting at $2000 and up per month, I can’t afford it. As for asking my brothers help, forget it! They’d rather see me dead (literally)
