I for one, am not concerned about my generation but rather the psychosis of the whole.‎
Honestly I have no idea how to wake the comfortably numb American.

I have seen sickos of all ages....not just the younger generation.

As far as the young goes, halloween and christmas was invented to bribe the kids in the early part of last century into not burning the whole town up after harvest was over and they had nothing to do. It has always been called "kid crime"

That's not going to happen. People would much rather live in blissful ignorance about everything. It helps them sleep at night.

The reason my generation is like this is because we are exposed to this way of thinking from a very early age, too early for our own good. Parents certainly don't help with their overreaching desire to control every aspect of kids lives, and now there is technology to monitor your kid's driving. Anytime they go over the speed limit, Mom knows. Society has always been like this, what you are describing, only now we have the Internet, so for the first time, ordinary people that have no voice have a voice, and this newfound power can be intoxicating. Pretty soon you can live out all your fantasies on the Internet, including being cool to kill, etc. Imagine how much it would suck to not grow up with board games, but with Gameboys. Imagine school not with pencil and paper, but computers from the get go. Technology is in elementary schools now. Kids can't even play in the yard anymore without parental supervision because everything has to be on a parents schedule. What do you think the result will be when every second of someone's life is micromanaged by a parent or other authority figure? Of course it's going to be an entire generation of socially maladjusted psychopaths. This has gotten far worse with the proliferation of Facebook, texting, and other informal means of formal communication. People barely talk in person anymore like they are supposed to.
