Totally.

Facially, he's very attractive. As is often the case in life though, personality/social/interacting things can make someone, although physically attractive, not fit as well as others who can handle social situations better.

Just from what he's said, it seems the issue is really with interacting. It's easier online but in the real world can be pretty overwhelming.
