It's not that I don't like Anime, just the contrary. But to understand it, for my perspective, you have to be familiar with that subculture, and I'm not.
I'm an old guy, my roots are in the European history and culture. I tried a couple of times, but I simply can't "understand" asian cultures, it's just too alien for me.
I understand people have different preferences and grow up around different surroundings. I've grown up around a lot of Asian influence that I'm totally normal with it.Most nts I get along with are usually Asian and introduce me into more Asian culture although anime isn't really culture per say its about the equivelent of cartoons and marvel comics are in American and European culture. The food is always good too hehe it all started out with food then Godzilla then video games and chinese dragons then women then anime now languages and learning the history and cultures. I could go on an on about that stuff hehe but I also love European stuff and American culture and love my share of star wars the hobbit xmen dr who star trek and going to ren fairs.I also love American muscle cars as much as I love imports.
