Got a match on Tinder but I have no idea what to say. It never works out, I don't know why I do this to myself. Pathetic.

Statistically it could, because people have so many choices on social media. Don't take it personally if that happens.
Don't offer too much info about yourself straight away or the other person will have nothing to ask / say in the conversation.
Ask questions and show interest in their topics, instead. Most people love talking about themselves.

So this is what I said "Hello Rebecca, how are you doing today? I am curious if you have any special interests? What do you love about life?" She completely ignored what I said and asked "Where do you live?". I need to stop using that dumb app, all it brings me is unhappiness and disappointment.

So if the first thing a guy asked you was "Where do you live?" You would just tell them? I hope you would break contact. I assume she was asking to see if I was homeless because the way I look. It's not the first time that has happened. I politely wished her the best and unmatched.

If a guy asked me "where do you live" I would give a general town or region, just to ensure we aren't long distance. I think that might be what she wanted to know. I agree it wasn't the sweetest reply from her, but I don't think it implies you looked homeless. I don't see it that way at all. She is looking for people within a certain area. Maybe she doesn't drive.

Perhaps you are correct and my own insecurities influenced my decision. However, the app does give a general distance in miles.

Most people don’t like long-distance relationships.

I wish there was a way you could meet someone in your town.

I don't know if you can rematch with her somehow and make an apology?
The next time you have a match let me know. I may not be brilliant in the dating department, but it may help you to have a woman's perspective.
