I hate being persecuted for my differences! And looked down on, as if I'm a child! Just because I can do normal stuff while also being VI doesn't make me a wonder child! I'm just a person! Treat me like one!

I'm sorry to hear that some people here are berating you for having a mental illness. Have you encountered such unhelpful posts even in the section of this site on Bipolar, Tourettes, Schizophrenia, and other Psychological Conditions?

Accidentally logged the goggle account on YouTube -- no longer able to stop and log as before likes/dislikes/comment...

There's no logout option. There's no undo button for it unless it meant removing the whole account.

Being on this site for therapeutic purposes is hard because some people here are so proud of how they are that they think everyone always has to put up with it all the time. And they are never willing to change their behavior to make any concessions for anyone else.

Autism/aspergers is not all negative IMO, but it’s also not all positive.

Same with anything.

I'm scared to post in the PPR forum in case I get attacked for having my own opinion. If I do express a view or an opinion I immediately get called names like racist and bigot and mean. I even get told how to think; "if you think this way then you're a mean, disrespectful, judgemental a**hole". So what is the point in posting there in the first place, unless you blissfully agree to everything and anything? That is why I stay away. It's a very dangerous corner of WP, and usually if a regular member threatens to leave WP, 9 times out of 10 PPR was the last place they had posted in. Just stay away from that awful place if it keeps upsetting you! I know it's tempting to voice your opinion but like I said you're forbidden for having your own opinion there, so why bother?

The PPR thing seems to go in waves. For ages, anyone vaguely left-wing would end up as the pinata in a non-stop game of "Stomp the liberal". These days, anyone vaguely right-wing ends up as the pinata in a non-stop game of "Stomp the Nazi". As a left-winger, I should probably be gloating right now, but I really don't feel like it. It annoys me that forum warriors with an axe to grind generally go after a) moderates of the other side and b) moderates of their own side, two classes of people they could reasonably be having a productive conversation with. They don't go after extremists of the other side. Too scary.

one side says "we want equal justice under the law!", the other side says "what are you talking about?" - one side says "you just aren't paying attention to the problems!" to which the other says, "to WHAT problems?!"
-(which they really consider as salient desirable features) - one side says "you just don't care about anybody except yourselves!", and the other side says, "SHADDUP SNOWFLAKE!! MAGA!!" everybody talks past the other, dialogue is hopeless.
