Omg, they're so cute!
I want a bunny!
But it's illegal to keep a rabbit as a pet here.
There's a huge fine if you're found with one.
No bunnies in my future :(

Luckily for you, here in Colorado, through some very unorthodox research, we have developed a way to send you bunnies from the future.

Raleigh apparently lives in the toughest anti-rabbit regime in the world, with penalties of $44,000 and six months in prison.

They're illegal 8O ? Was there some sort of bunny vs. Aussie feud that started it? Did the leader bunny make a nasty remark about the Prime Minister's mother?

Woah, I'm away from this topic for a day and suddenly there are bunnies everywhere! :albino:

Yeah, i'm joking. I had no idea there was such a thing anywhere but a group home or jail, but looked it up when Raleigh said that... I guess i understand the why behind it, but... I like the idea of diguised bunnies better.

A bunny stole her carrots, left a poop, and that was that.

That'll teach you to sign off for a day! This is now Raleigh's future bunny hope thread.

There's actually a very good reason why rabbits are illegal in Australia.

They almost destroyed the agriculture of the country, and almost killed off the smaller native animals.

Rabbits were introduced to Australia for some reason; then they REALLY multiplied, to the point where there were millions of rabbits. Then the rabbits overran and destroyed much of the agriculture of the (then British colony) and also killed off many smaller animals native to Australia (they were superpredators).

Am I right, Raleigh?

Rabbits were introduced to Australia by some British dickhead who thought they'd make excellent 'sport' for hunting.
The rabbits got loose and bred like, well, rabbits, and decimated the country.
They turned Eastern and inland Australia into a barren wasteland in a very short period of time.
Rabbit-proof fences were erected over huge distances to try and control the spread.
They were eventually controlled by the introduction of the disease, Myxomatosis.

That's why we can't have bunnies

Could be, the Aussies already declared war on the Emus, I can't make this stuff up :lmao: . It's one of those endless wars though like the war on drugs or terrorism

Oh, you don't know the half of it.
Australia goes apeshit over biological control.
They introduced all kinds of animals that quickly became vermin.
The reason QLD is full of poisonous cane toads right now is because some knucklehead thought they'd be a great way to control the cane beetles!

What could possibly go wrong?

Well you do at least have hopeful toads in your future...
