Why inflatable?

And I thought I am naive.....well, for that more real anatomical feel. I thouht men all about this sort of thing.

Sorry about that. I take myself out on dates, too (usually going out to eat).

Everything else is improving for me, though.

I only feel better about the academic part of my life.

I feel that I can only date other Aspies (because Aspies do not lie or cheat), but no one with AS has an interest in me.

Dude, i'm with you both on the dating aspies thing and wanting marriage and kids - I'm 33 and I've had 3 serious relationships in my life - the trouble is that they were all with NT girls (nothing against them, I still love everyone I ever loved) who were initally attracted to my quirks but after a while each relationship went downhill. It would be real progress for me to have a relationship that lasts more than 9 months I just wish that I'd known about my AS back then.

I get tired of the whole 'dating' thing and very sad and depressed about it at times, but somehow find a way to carry on. I still have faith in finding someone and i'm sure that you will too. You seem like a really good guy!

Just so everyone knows, I base my "liberalism" almost entirely on the fact that I watch South Park.

Of the 5 Aspie women who had the same interests and beliefs as me, 4 were already in relationships, and the other one was not looking.

So the number of Aspie women who have the same interests and beliefs as me, who are single and looking, is zero.

This is 5 nationwide, not 5 in Wichita Falls.

Yup. Been there, felt that, got the T-shirt. If I hadn't been looking after my mother who had a heart condition, I would have taken up alcoholism and drugs to kill the pain. Good thing for me she got sick, hey? I guess that's one way to keep the kids out of trouble.

I can't say anything to make you feel better. I never can do that for anyone - something's missing. So consider: You're too good of a guy to not have some nice woman that's right for you out there looking for you, too. The best stuff takes the most work, so finding her is going to be hard. When you do meet, you'll know she's worth the effort and she'll know you are, too. Don't settle for less. You don't have to.

And for goodness' sake, don't call me a liar by putting yourself down, ok? It's rude. So, what's your next step to find her? Social event? Regroup and rethink? Seance?

How do I find the type of person I'm looking for, then?

Take care of the rest of your life's details. Mingle. Live. Enjoy what you have now. Keep an open mind because there's no telling where or when it'll happen, or what vector she'll come in on.
