I know you're lying. You lied to me about homecoming, and you lied to me again about AIM.

I'm not stupid. You had to know that I would figure it out eventually.

But I also think that you did it to protect me, to keep me from feeling like you didn't want me around, even though I do feel that you don't at times.

The important part of that is that it shows that you care. That means more to me than you can possibly imagine, because, at times, I feel that nobody does.

I consider you a very good friend of mine, and I care for you deeply- perhaps too much. You know this.

But what you don't know is that by protecting me, by showing that you do care, even if only a little, you've made me care about you even more.

I'm trying to avoid the phrase 'love you' here. There was a time when I did love you, but that's over now, or so I'm trying to convince myself. I don't want to get in the way of your relationship with Matt. I care about you too much to do something like that.

And it makes me feel like loving you is a crime.

About the Golden Rule... I saw someone asking for help so I remembered the Golden Rule and went to help because if I asked for help I would want someone to respond. They shot me down and said they wanted help from someone they knew, so I left. Of course You know what I'm talking about.

Is it good enough that I tried?

Oh wait, I think I You just led my mind to the answer. I am a bit of a masochist, so for me to treat others as I would want them to treat me... I should now go out and treat others as I would want to be treated in Your Most Holy Name.

If that is a gross misinterpretation of The Golden Rule then please don't send me to Hell for it. As far as I can see it fits within the rules.
