Nobody responds to me anymore on Facebook.

None of the "regulars" respond to me on bipolarsupport.org anymore.

I emailed a "friend" and asked if we could get together this summer and she seems to be avoiding the question at all costs in her emails back.

My BF is gone for 2 mos. I'm going stir crazy.

In the past, I've been able to stay perfectly happy with creative pursuits, meditation, etc..

but now, I am nuts.. anxious.. lonely..bored..low self esteem..

ALL those emotions tend to have an impulse associated with them. In it's most basic it's to lie down and squirm and wiggle. More complexly, it's to go out and go do stuff. And that doesn't have to mean "go out" go out, just switch off the PC, stand up, and see where your whim takes you.

I get that feeling too. Whenever I'm social with someone for a few months (in person or online), I end up unable to go back to my more solitary routines because I'm wanting that sameness of having contact with them. You've been hit "all at once" here. Usually when this happens to me, I email/call up one of the other old friends (I'm horrible about maintaining contact regularly) and see what's going on with them. Do you have any other friends/family you've been meaning to get back to?

I understand. When it's hard enough to interpret feedback it is maddening to interpret no feedback. When I feel like this a walk in a quiet wood makes me feel more in tune with what's real.

Thanks. It's really good to be among people who understand. The Facebook thing is crazy. It just frustrates me. I am not close to anybody on there and never have been. On the bipolar site, people are tired of giving me the same advice.

Today, I'm going out to the movies. I think that will be good for me. I do call my friends back in NC on occasion too. I don't really have friends in OR yet. I feel frustrated and I need to just go out the door when I get this way and walk somewhere, anywhere, I guess.

Get up and wiggle was good advice!

Sometimes those social networks can be a bit... I don't know really - plastic.

Don't worry about it. :)

Well you can count me among your Oregon friends! If you're near PDX, the best walking path is right along the waterfront. There are all manner of walkers, joggers, bikers, and staggerers that use the park. It's exceptionally beautiful when the sakura blossoms come out for one fleeting week before going away for another year.
