I wonder if this happens to anyone else. Earlier this month, the DC area got back to back blizzards which is totally rare for this part of the US. We rarely see this much snow. Anyways, no one on dad's side of the family called my parents or I to ask us if we were ok. Dad's family live in NJ. However, mom's family did call. They live in the Seattle area but majority of them still reside in Seoul. I think that was extremely rude and selfish for no one on dad's family to call us and wonder if we were ok. Even when Isabel hit the DC area, no one on dad's family called. Any time a blizzard, flood, hurricanes, earthquakes hits an area where I have family or other people that I know, I do get worried and wonder if they are ok and ask them. How hard is it to simply pick up the phone and ask a loved one if they are ok?? NO ONE on dad's family has LD, ADD or autism. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, I was so worried about my co worker's mother. I asked him if his mother was ok, and he said that she got out of the New Orleans way before the hurricane hit. He thanked me for being concerned about his mother. That's just the type of person I am. No one taught me this. I just learned on my own. So I guess even though we have LD, ADD, autism, aspergers it doesn't truly make us stupid, selfish, etc? There are certain things that members of dad's family have done that I would never do.
