Why do I have to take the slow path?

I discussed me getting a GED, and she left to go on an arrine, all about looking into this GED, and she comes home saying that she dosent like it and that it's seems like a way of cheating and taking the easy way out, WTF?!?! Now she wants me to take all the special classes ( selfcontained class another version of a Special ed class ) and I keep telling her I want to go to a regular class, but she says it will fail and become a set back, i'm F'in tired of the slow path I want to get a GED and leave high school behind, and start getting into college, but hen she says I'm not emotionally able to handle college. Why dosent she trust me?

Is 'she' your mother? teacher? Are you planning to go straight to a 4-year institution or use a community college to jump to a 4-year institution? If its just a community college, then the GED is fine. Saying that you are not 'emotionally ready' seems like BS. If you've never had meltdowns or let your emotions affect your classes or gotten too worked up about your classes, then it would be unjustified for her to claim this

Many community colleges have night classes available during fall/spring.

They usually also have summer classes in two sessions (the summer #1 session has already started, but the summer #2 sessions typically begin in July).

Perhaps you could ask her to let you sign up for one class either this summer or a night class during the fall. If you study hard and can prove to her that you can pass the class, she might be confident in letting you go the GED -> community college route.
