Getting after my behaviorist

Last fall, I had spoken over the phone to someone who had made a commitment to getting me connected with a group to volunteer as a mentor for high school students with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. However, she never got back to me about it, and I would ask her when this would happen and she would say something like, "Oh, just as soon as I can figure out the best time for you to start." So, it never happened as the school year ended and so I contacted her today and told her that I felt like it just seemed that I had a good reputation with the Emory Autism Center there would be all kinds of connections to me. She then replied back and said that she understands my frustrations but that I needed to be more professional about it.

That's a strange response. Maybe ask her what it is you are doing that is not professional.

Well, they are pretty snotty up there since they are connected to the Emory Autism Center..

I honestly think she said that because I got after her for not following through with what she originally told me.

You should ask her, where she thinks that you went wrong.
