I know it's no big deal but I can't stand them, and in England in Ironbridge there seems to be a chance of a thunder storm on Wednesday, Thursday AND Friday.
Oh sweet Jebus. :(

You have a cold front approaching I believe. The Met office is a good place.

I live in NC, and we've been having a storm about every other day now (and still more expected throughout the week). I don't mind them, but I will be inside when one hits.

I have checked the Metoffice, and it says there could be a storm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Seems there is a storm on the cards. :(

America can get a lot of storms. Problem here is when one hits, it's a thin walled and thin window house with a conservatory, so the rain is really loud and the thunder can be heard as though I'm outside.

I love storms. The light show, the drama, the ion-charged air that stimulates the brain, the relaxing sound of the pattering rain... :D

I live in 'Tornado Alley', where people are terrified when the sky clouds up, but I've never seen the point. Until I hear that freight train sound, I don't see the point in getting all bent about it. It irks me no end that local television preempts everything to show CGI weathermaps and talk endlessly about Wall Clouds and Rotational Activity and blah blah blah - stop terrorizing the viewers and put the damn show back on. Let me know when its headed directly for me, until then StFU.

I mean, there's something fascinating about the dynamics of rainfall and evaporation and wind and weather patterns swirling about all over the globe, all the while bolts of energy snapping and arcing between the ground and the ozone...when you look at the dead wastelands of Mars and Venus, it all seems pretty magical...that our planet is still very much alive...for now.

re: tornadoes. I can relate to the extreme fear. At one stage I had an irrational fear and hid in the pantry every time there was a thunderstorm. Each storm here usually has a tornado but a small one. Buts thats still enough to uproot trees or rip off half a house, smash glass and cut people to bits.

I love them and I hate them.

I love storms! Well, not infrastructure-damaging hurricanes, but thankfully we don't tend to have them in the UK. Regular storms are wonderful, though. Don't you like the sound of the rain hitting the roof, and the natural lightshow of the lightning forks? The rolling sound of thunder and the refreshing feeling of precipitation?

Storms usually do not bother me unless it's something major like a hurricane(I live in south Louisiana), I have to do something outside or the power goes out. We get lots of storms here at times. I wish we had storms like this :D

Be glad you don't live in Southwest Ohio. We seem to get more severe weather here than anyplace else on Earth :?

I really cant stand them, it's been raining all summer here and we've had an abnormal amount of tornadoes. Storms put me in a very dark place, I'm very affected by the weather. Most of my family lives in a trailer park out in a rural area, I get really freaked out every time we get close to having a tornado and visualize awful things.
