I was just wondering, because there are some posts that I've been smiling at the end of, here and I'm wondering, if I'm doing the right thing. Is The Haven the right forum, for me to be spreading my Cockney cheer, or should I really be saving that cheer, for the other forums, here at WP?

Well, like they say at the end of Monty Ptython's Life of Brian: "Always look on the bright side of life!"

It is perfectly acceptable I am sure, to smile. :)

Probably quite a few people could benefit from a little cheer.

You are not mocking or dismissing the problems of others so you are doing a nice thing with your smileys. The way you use them is good.

As long as the joke, smile or laughter is not mooking or belittleing someone then it is OK.

In many ways when someone is feeling low or having a horrible time anything which makes them laugh or smile is a good thing as it raises their mood for a moment.

There a rare problem in some rare cases people have physcial conditions which make laughing painful, <joke>I would suggest to avoid any painful misunderstandings or misadventures that these who find laughing painful should display either the Bravo or Juliet flag of the ICS system. These are the flags for hazardous cargo on ships.</joke>
