today I was taking the bus home. It was emptying out after about 20 minutes into the trip...I was staring off past the windows into the city thinking about coming home this weekend, when two similar looking young women sat in front of my view.

they were a loud bunch, looked just about 15 or 16. Im 19 myself.
A bit annoyed I just continued to look past them, until the thought that they looked so similar they could be twins past thru my head. I glanced at both of them as they were talking, and I checked my phone. When i looked back up and resumed looking past them, one stopped mid sentence and yelled! STOP LOOKING AT ME YOU CREEP!
she looked really unnerved by my presence, scared really...I was unsure of why, because I couldnt have looked at her for more than a few seconds.

I just apologized and asked if I had freaked them out, and began to explain that I noticed they may be twins, before i could explain that i was looking at the city, they interrupted saying that not only were they not twins, that I was awking and was creepy. I drifted off of my sentance and let them scowl at me.

yeah. f**k this day

Maybe it's just the way your eyes look & the way you stare at things bewarethebob :? I've been accused of being creepy & staring at people when I was day-dreaming/fantasizing about things. I usually brush those complaints off. There is NO law against staring as for as I know. If they wer wearing slu*ty outfits; you could try making a comment on it next time

I take the bus a lot and I have had this problem when I'm just thinking or zoning out or looking out the window my face might be turned in some person's direction and they think I'm staring at them. I just try to look at people's shoes. :)

I'm sorry those girls were such complete jerks.

Pretty much sums it up. I've gotten taunts from teenagers all my life. Luckily as you age, you will get it less as they would be much less likely to do it to a grown man.

You should have said "If you were thinking I was looking at you - don't flatter yourselves"

They must have been the female version of the guy who wanted to fight me because he thought I was staring at him.

Nevermind them. They aren't worth your energy.
