After years of being upset over the college issue now with going back I'm scared!! !! ! I'm afraid I'll mess up and upset a friend/teacher etc. :-( I read FB posts of a friend doing stuff and feel bad I WANT friends/boyfriend etc!! !! I decided to get lost in a videogame (as I tend to do alot) and dad asked me to do the dishes (I did the few in there and drained the water) He then puts Another plate in there after I had drained the water! I was slightly irritated he said FINE GO TO YOUR ROOM! (So I did) Mom comes in Hey and sarcastically says "Thanks for sweeping today." (I didn't sweep BTW) Honestly I did think about it but figured I always do a sh***y job/not do X right so why bother? SHEESH! It's sad here I thought the college thing would make me happy but I'm so scared! Will I make friends? Will I get a boyfriend? How do I behave around a friend (guy or girl) How do I keep said friend/boyfriend once I have one? How NOT to upset your teachers? etc. (Those are just the few of the upsetting questions going through my mind.) :-( I just don't know. :-( Hopefully some of you can relate. Thinks for your advice/help over the years BTW. :-)

I'm confused. What does college have to do with your dad telling you to do the dishes and your mom telling you to sweep?

It's very easy to get overwhelmed when you're trying to figure out everything at once. The best thing to do is to deal with things as they come. You probably shouldn't get a boyfriend right now. Relationships can really distract from your studies. If someone comes along then you can figure out what you want to do then. Just take it slow and stop and think of the possible outcomes of a situation before you act. Not doing this can cause a lot of trouble. Doing this too much (as I do) causes different problems. Just remember, you don't have to figure out everything at once.
I used to have trouble being perceived as lazy when I was at home. It was the lack of focus mostly, I think.

No I'm not on any anxiety medication. I've considered PTSD (over the college issue. I couldn't even enjoy a vacation in Boston& NY since I saw colleges etc.) I've also considered all this thinking/dwelling/upsetness in being anxiety but I haven't brought it up to the psychiatrist. No offense but I think it's kind of a good quality at least I'm THINKING and not saying oh well be myself (insert bad behavior and jail/lose school/lose friend/boyfriend etc.) So my thinking isn't all that bad. I think when I finally start and get over the fear I'll be ok it's just getting through August 30th and Sept. 2nd without a panic attack/meltdown/freakout (whatever you'd want to call it) In my case probably running out of the classroom crying. So we'll see what happens. Thanks for the advice.

Awwwh, okay. It's just that everytime i see your posts, you seem either stressed or anxious.
Maybe you could look into it? At least consider giving it a trial run. Might help
