Having the wrong view?
My 3yr. old nephew was picking up weights I didn't think nothing of it since he could pick them up (they weren't OMG heavy) then he was carrying them through the house and mom/dad yelled at me "He could break his toes!") My thinking is if he can pick them up (biggest is like 5lb. I believe) than he seems fine or IMO seemed fine. Then combine this with other things that happen today that I mention in a previous post according to dad/mom "I've been a real b***h today" (and they wonder why I'm depressed/upset alot you see what happiness/being myself gets DAMN IT! ![]()
I dunno, when I was three I was pretty darn indestructible. Hot stoves, electric fences, piano benches, nothing could stop me from running around. Parents overreact about a lot of stuff. Mom yells at me anytime when I'm not doing something correctly, crying or have the "incorrect view." So yeah, parents suck. :/
I don't see anything wrong with it either. It sounds like your parents are more protective and more worried about what can happen.
Here is something more embarassing. I was 11 years old and I was coloring and a baby comes up to me and he grabs some crayons and starts chewing on it. Hey they are non toxic so they weren't going to hurt the baby and I wasn't baby sitting so it wasn't my responsibility. My mom sees it and goes "Oh he is eating the crayon" and she puts her fingers in his mouth to get the pieces out. She tells me I need to be careful what I give the baby and I was like 'I didn't give him anything, he got it himself" and she said I can't let them eat stuff that isn't food because he could have choked on it.

I think League_Girl is right--they're worrying/obsessing
Regarding the rest: hope you got my PM.
Take care.
