Until now.

The Four year anniversary of my car accident is tomorrow.

We had just gotten finished with a show at this party, when I was going out to the east end of the island to crash at my friends place. The show was typical, we covered a few songs, but mainly did our own stuff. I headed out of the place the normal way, and hopped onto Milestone Road. I was a little past Nobadeer Farm Road when the guy hit me at an angle.

Broke my right arm(Which still gets a little stiff. I used to be able to draw really well beforehand.) and legs.

Turns out the man who hit me, was not only a notorious drunk but also the town's funeral director. Eight months after the crash, I see him at my grandmother's funeral, and I not only want to kill him, but I want to drag him over the cobblestones tied behind my dad's truck.

When I was in the hospital, my mother came to see me all the way from Missouri. She told me right then and there that I was going to Missouri. I said "f**k you, I'm not going to the midwest. I'm eighteen, and frankly, I can go wherever I damn well please." My grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly thereafter.

She died on July 4th, 2007.

The car was totaled.

I am still alive.

I will never be the artist I once was, but that doesn't matter.

I am still alive.

This was the last song we covered. It will forever remind me of that December night.

I'm glad you were not hurt worse and that you have mostly recovered.

Sorry to hear your arm still gives you trouble.

All though, we probably don't know each other. I want you to know that I'm glad you're safe and that you're not seriously hurt.

I know what a car accident is like, granted mine was a motorcycle accident. I'm sorry about your arm and I hope you can find a way to make it feel comfortable in the most uncomfortable moments.

My knee and my leg still misbehave here and there.

I fail to believe you will never be the artist you once were. Perhaps you just don't want to put the effort into becoming that artist again.

My father was an excellent artist, and then he broke his arm. He started using the other one, and in a few years, he was again an excellent artist, only with the other hand.

I'm sorry to hear you've suffered from this and that your arm still troubles you. I know that car accidents can be traumatic things, and the lingering pains can wear us down. It sounds like you have a great attitude about it now, though: You survived, and with little lasting injury (if I am not misreading), and that is what matters.

I do support the switching of arm it's doable i've seen more artist do it, no offence but I think you didn't notice the emotion between the lines here - lots of emotional baggage present.

Ackman, I see you here and there on the forum and notice you are very active in the creative arts.
Writing and now I see you draw sketches and do shows too (I guess music, am I right?)!

But I can't fail to notice this car crash has really gotten to you, since it still weights down on you after four years! Please get help, this isn't something that will just go away if you keep dragging it behind you - I'm talking in own experience here, this will eat you up whole.
I do hope you can talk with someone who can deal with these troubling experiences you had (preferably a professional).

Look you are an able artist, multifaceted at that - you can spout your troubling feelings in a creative way, I am fairly certain this will help to keep the pressure off the lid for the time being.

I can only speak for myself here on WrongPlanet but there are people next to me in this community who do believe in you. I say this because I see people encouraging your works on Creedonia and appreciate on you being here with us.

You can do this, right or left way round!

Cheerfully,
Wallourdes

This isn't going to help you saying this, but I reckon 8 months after he wrecked you and your car he should be in Jail - not working again. Or maybe he should be working and sent to the jail at nights!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that. ): I'm also sorry for your loss.
I cannot begin to imagine how you must have felt back then, nor how you feel now.
However you are fortunate to be alive, which is the most important thing. I hope you've been able to deal with the psychological scars.

The fact that the man got to keep his job is horrendous ! Hopefully he's no longer allowed to drive.

Perhaps he was just trying to drum up business.

(Okay, that was tasteless and offensive, but somebody had to do it.)

I'm sorry that you've lost a friend, but I'm also glad that you're alive.
