So depressing!

I was cleaning my room and stumbled upon photos of my sister/brother in-law when they were younger hugging/kissing and it makes me sad that I have never had a boyfriend!! !! I wanted to cry (but didn't) it was so depressing!! !! !

Bad times.. Stuff like that does make someone furious. My brother announced today that him and his girlfriend are getting married. So not only am I the only sibling out of 3 who is a virgin and without a girlfriend, but the only one not getting married (Both my brothers are engaged). Not that I want to get married at all but I'm just saying.

But hey, it's christmas so I'm gonna be happy today

I know this feeling is unavoidable but you have to remind yourself - you aren't them, thus you can't rate yourself by them.

I was transferring some old super-8 film to video of out-takes from a film I shot in college. One of the actors was my best friend and another was a girl I had a crush on. At one point while the camera was still rolling, the girl walked into the scene and started kissing my friend. They have been married for over 20 years now and they are still my closest friends, but I was rather shocked at how much it still hurt to see that even after so many years.

Time doesn't seem to heal wounds, but the pain does get duller and more spread out.

It's one of the reasons why I've been having suicidal thoughts and depreciating myself - I'm 25, NEVER had a girlfriend and I'm still a virgin. It just feels like the world's flying past me at 100mph in the fast lane and I'm stuck in 1st gear or limping like a Prius with a dead traction battery.

I've known people who jumped into relationships just for the sake of having one and deeply regretted it very quickly...because they weren't with the right person. That is far worse than being alone for a while.

My wish for you is that when you meet "the one," you will both know it right away and have a long and happy life together.

I didn't have hatred and wasn't mad more depressed and sad that I don't/and have yet to have. That close relationship. There was no anger involved. I agree Conundrum the time will come. It was just sad seeing all those happy/kissing/hugging photos and it hits you OMG I've never had a boyfriend. Thanks for the encouragement.

Yes, I know the feeling [you walk through the campus on a spring day and you can't see the birds for embracing couples on the grass - a little bit of a downer, got to say]. Think - quantity not quantity, have the dessert AFTER the liver and spinacjh is gone, not before. Wait for it - you have no idea what is around even the next corner.

zelda, why don't you go to events that you enjoy. You will most certainly find someone if you do.
