I've been thinking about seeking help from a psychologist again so I can stay on track with coping with this Aspergers and whatever kind of stuff I've got in my candy colored head. I was seeing a woman who helped me get to where I am now with services. She was nice then she moved to Florida. I was lined up to see another woman but I bit my tongue because I had seen her before at a group meeting as some kind of counselor who was watching and she asked like question I didn't like so I left and canceled my involvement with her. I got into the office again to see a guy but after a couple of meetings he said he doesn't know what he can do. I may not have communicated what I'm seeking very well.

Yes, you should keep trying until you find the right psychologist. You don't always get the right one for you the first go round but if you need help coping...... you should look into it.

Have you asked the people in your group who the use and their experiences?

I wouldn't waste time with psychologists who don't put in more effort to work with you. It's also very important to get someone who actually knows their stuff about AS. If they just read up on the subject in a book, don't waste your time.

well then you'll have to look elsewhere. start with your insurance provider's website. they should list providers and their experience and specialties
