We'd be gone in no time. A good thing, perhaps.

Search some of my posts in the Haven. Great works of postmodern literature.

Read some posts and I've seen much worse, but that doesn't make your case a lesser one.
To me you are stuck in a hole called Self-Pity and you aren't getting out for some reason.

What do you need?

I was just asking a hypothetical question.

Hypothetical Question: What if everyone were as depressed as me?

Answer: Extinction of the human race

I spent a long time being depressed.
The one thing I found that could fight back depression was action. By taking action to do something about why I was depressed it started to go away. I started asking myself why about everything which lead to some pretty profound changes in myself.
Eventually I realized what a waste it was to wallow in the past, dwell on a fantasy world that would never exist, and to wish I was someone I'll never be. Instead I decided to accept and embrace the gifts I have while working on the communication issues I've never felt better.
When I stopped worrying about whether people liked me or not something interesting happened.. more people liked me.
Don't give up; things will get better!

I have started focusing on only the positives in my life, no matter how inconsequential. It isn't easy, but there are good things to be found.

Challenge: name 3 good things in your life. (even if it's as simple as the sunset was pretty tonight)

I doubt that.

A year of living in former Soviet Union would cure this outlook, once you come back to your country of origin. Sometimes we take what we have for granted.

Then I'd do something about it.
