I am 29 years old I have no friends, no job. I am isolated and lonely. There is no organisations or anyone that can help me in my crippling plight. I feel that my age is against me I should had done something much earlier but for some inexplicable reason did not but I should not go over that. I am becoming increasing bitter. I don't like being bitter and depressed and desperately want to do something about it, but don't have a clue what to do.
I hope that I have not missed my chance to have a life.

Yes I have friends the same age as us (i'm 29 too) who are in exactly the same situation.

I would say you still have plenty of time. It's really only when you start entering into your late 40's your kinda in the positon of probably not being able to change much.

You have tons of time. It's not too late to start whatever you want.

try being [nearly] twice your age and see how it feels. i wish i were your age again, no matter what. i can only say that eventually one may realize that "not having a life" IS one's life, and come to terms with it.

I'm in the same boat.

I wish I also knew of the help that was available out there. I was also diagnosed late. It seems there is little to no resources for adults with aspergers. I wish I knew people in my area or a way to start a support group. This AS is very hard. My cousin and a friend of my sister's were just recently diagnosed. Both of them have had one problem after another especially with jobs.

If I look back ages about 13 to about 33 were pretty much garbage. It's bloody hard that period!

Don't stress on not enough time, just keep moving forward when possible.
My uncle did not marry til he was 45 and then had two children.
I went back to college at 47 then at 55 opened my own business.
I still don't have friends, still depressed, but I have learned to get around it.
Yes, I wish I could have started younger but circumstance and depression limited me.
Still I am here, and at least know of a direction.

A job would help immensely with your self-esteem. Something simple, part-time, to get you going motivated, throw yourself into.

Best of Luck

Pretty good, 33 was about when I met my wife and started having had kids (not planned but a fortuitous thing).
There's always things to complain about but on the whole life's pretty satisfactory.

you're a fortunate man then, with the ability to relate to people.
