Is being angry all the time a typical trait of having AS or could it be something else causing it like male testoterone and not getting enough exercise?

I think we'd have to define "all the time" to prevent the Forer Effect.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forer_effect

Without knowing anything about a random person, you can be sure they will agree with a statement such as

Quote:
You have a great need for other people to like and admire you. You have a tendency to be critical of yourself. You have a great deal of unused capacity which you have not turned to your advantage. While you have some personality weaknesses, you are generally able to compensate for them. Disciplined and self-controlled outside, you tend to be worrisome and insecure inside. At times you have serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing. You prefer a certain amount of change and variety and become dissatisfied when hemmed in by restrictions and limitations. You pride yourself as an independent thinker and do not accept others' statements without satisfactory proof. You have found it unwise to be too frank in revealing yourself to others. At times you are extroverted, affable, sociable, while at other times you are introverted, wary, reserved. Some of your aspirations tend to be pretty unrealistic. Security is one of your major goals in life.

What the hell does his question on anger have to do with the freaking forer effect? If you don't want to seriously answer a question then don't post a comment.Geez.

Jamesy: I could not give you a definite asswer to your question, but I will say that I am angry very often and of the two people that I have met (in person) that have AS, one was angry quite often as well, while the other was extremely happy all of the time. I am going to assume that it just varies from person to person. There certainly are many causes for anger.

I believe ZeroGravitas was making the point that, in knowing nothing about the person asking such a wide question, almost anything given could be perceived as being accurate and therefore of little or no practical use.
And as it turns out, offering that quote from the page simply resulted in another score of 4.26 or better - which seems to me to prove the point being made.
As does your advice:
Quote:

I'm not attempting to criticise what you said, BTW. Just sayin' is all.

... the evil testosterone...

Exercise is a great way to work off that negative energy, it's stress release. Only one way to find out if it works... let us know how the experiment goes!

I feel angry quite often at work when I'm around other people. For me, it's out of frustration trying to understand and fit in with my coworkers. It seems pretty normal to me. As long as you're not taking it out on others, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
