(LOL at the "Hitchhiker's Guide" reference in the title)

But, seriously, I have been feeling kind of depressed for the past few months because of these reasons:

1. I used to volunteer, get involved in youth activities, spend time outside, and watch TV shows, movies, and stuff of the computer, without a care in the world, but now, I'm 19, and I'm almost getting too old for that kind of stuff.

2. I hate to say this, but I think my friends are more successful at what they do than me. They're either in college, moved to other cities or towns, have jobs, or pretty much lost contact in them.

3. I'm having a hard time making new friends here in High Point. Everyone here seems to be mostly preps and sports jocks, and there's not many special interest clubs around here. Plus, there's not much of autism/AS community around here, either.

I could sure use some support right now.

I can relate! I have many minor obsessions, but I'm lacking the few large commitments that used up all my serotonin.

My psychologist, as I was being diagnosed, was encouraging me to acquire a new 'large' obsession to hoard off the depression.

To make you feel better, I recently withdrew from one school to pursue another program offered at a different school, the change is good because in rich soil, we can only flourish!

- 19 as well, getting married when I'm 30, 11 more years to get a solid job  8)
