I'm in your exact situation. Or similar. My parents are fed up with me not supporting myself. I can't though, I am too depressed to hold any kind of regular job. And anxious. And bad at interviewing. And without a real resume.
Anyway, what field are you interested in getting a job/jobs in? Maybe talking it over could bring up some new ideas? (You never know! It probably would for me.)
I know there's no excuse for your dad saying that. Sorry you have to be around that...if you are really afraid, of course, I'd tell a relative who doesn't live with you maybe?
I'm working toward a career in academia, but that's a long process. Right now I'm worried for my safety and just need a steady wage to be able to support myself.
Most employers around here seem to be offering only casual work, and demanding 24/7 availability for "up to 15 hours" of work per week.
I've applied for job after job, taken every bit of advice I can find about improving employability, and I'm still stuck here despite that fact that I know I could do a lot of jobs if I could just
get one.
