I've done a search and found that this web site does not appear to have been mentioned on this forum before:

www.secrettechnology.com

It is a digital art site created by postmodern/surreal artist Jason Nelson. All of the art and poetry is interactive, with appropriate music and sound effects to match.

I have AS and I've spent the past few years training myself, with the help of a few wonderfully honest and open friends. Nowadays very few people know that I have AS, though many people view me as slightly odd (and that's fine with me). However, there are bad days sometimes when I get absolutely overwhelmed and all I want to do is block my ears, squeeze my eyes shut, and rock back and forth or bang my head against the wall until I calm down. When this happens, I have found that, miraculously, exploring this web site calms me down almost instantly. The random-sounding music and words and images have an incredibly soothing effect on me, and before I know it, I'm completely back to normal and in control of myself again.

I wanted to share this site with the community here in case it can help others in the same way it has helped me. I should warn you all that if you are upset in any way by random sounds or images, this site is probably not for you. However, it has been such a godsend to me that I can't just keep it to myself.

I am curious about how other people will react to this site. Is it helpful for you or is it just me personally? Does anyone have a problem with it?

If it is helpful for you, I'm sure Jason Nelson would love to hear about it as well. I have emailed him in the past and he has always responded pretty quickly. He seems like a pretty friendly guy.

I've bookmarked the site to check out later.

Cool. :) I've often wondered if other people have the same response to this site that I do, but I never thought of posting it someplace like this. I'm interested to hear your opinion.

By the way, I personally recommend "uncontrollable semantics," "this is how you will die," and the new one "sydney's siberia" as the ones that seem to have the greatest effect on me. I enjoy them all though.

Sorry for the double-post, but I wanted to bump this to see if I could get any more feedback. I'm genuinely interested in whether other people have the same positive response as me to this stuff, and help people out with it if possible.
