I know that having AS means facing challenges on day to day basis, but I'm sure we have improved in some area that we were struggling. Being aware of my disorder, I'm more conscious about the choices I make in order to help myself. This last school year was my junior year I have greatly improved in making friends. I went out of my way to try and find people with whom I would want to be friends. I hung out with people and invited them occasionally to do things, like go to a restaurant or bar. In college, it was bit easier in terms of social relationships because I was living with other people, going to classes, joined clubs and whatnot. That was my biggest accomplishment this past 12 months. I hope its doesn't look like I'm rubbing it in, but I would like to hear some more positive stories here on WP.

So what was something that you have improved in this past 12 months? It can be anything: job, relationships, school, learning how to deal with disorders, anything. I'd like to hear it. :)

I made a friend, and for once it was actually someone I met in real life.

I dropped the habit of continually asking people if they're angry with me.

Well, 5 months ago I was suicidal and deep in depression, and now I'm making big personal achievements on a near daily basis.

I learned to make healthy boundaries, and I learned better coping skills for sensory issues.

i am slowly coming out. not to my family or friends but in terms of the things i do. i have slightly more freedom now. i dont have to actively hide my orientation at uni, i go to queer collective sometimes and do random activist stuff and i go to a queer youth group. i like meeting people like me and knowing im not alone anymore even if i dont talk to them much. they must wonder what im doing there if i cant socialise but theyll never know what it means to me as an aspie to be able to connect with them at all. though as queers theyll understand. im happier now. i feel free.

Such a gorgeous kitty! And thanks for those pics. Those lambs are awesome! I wanted to pet each and every one of them.

You're welcome. Yes she is very lovely. I need to check on her right now, actually. the lambs are very sweet and friendly. They love having their necks scratched.

Let's see here. In the past 365 days, I have...

...almost finished my third year of high school

...discovered that I probably have AS

...learned to drive

and that's about it.

Lambs? I thought those were goats.

In the past year i:
- broke up with a "friend" who was using me to get money from me.
- got my first employment
- got a cat from a friend
- stopped watching tv, wich gives me much more time to read, paint, write etc
- started to live a simpler and more meaningful life.

The little white ones are lambs, the brown ones are goats. :)
