The same old idiotic routine.

Pretends to be nice. Asks you questions. Throws out a strange judgement about you even though you don't know this person. Does something cruel.

It's amazing how adults never progress past school yard bullying.

Yeah, I hear you. I've been scarred from certain experiences of people doing just that. People frivolously being hurtful or insulting is bad, but it doesn't hurt nearly as much when its someone who you thought was trust worthy being cruel to you.

Edit:

Also it sucks that you're right-a lot of adults don't grow out of it, it has very little to do with being an adult. Adults actually can act as bad if not more immature than kids do.

I've dealt with stuff like that a lot, in my lifetime. It's not very pleasant.

That kind of behaviour is frustrating, and disgusting, but I've sadly lost my capacity to be amazed by it. I've just seen too much of it. It is all too common for an adult who bullies those around them to succeed, to thrive, just as schoolyard bullies often do. One of the unintended lessons school teaches is that bullying often works. As long as they pick their targets carefully, bullies are often popular. I've known bullies who were captain of the football team, student body president, you name it. People know this, but they don't like to talk about it. And too many people learn that lesson, even if they'll never admit as much to anyone.

Please don't get the idea I agree with the way this is, or like it. I hate it. I detest it. I loathe it. I've just had my nose rubbed, over and over, in the fact that it is how things are. So as upset as I get by it, every time, I'm no longer amazed. I refuse to personally consider such people adults, but that's another issue...

What is funny is people encourage you not to get even hence giving bullies more strength. Well it's not really funny, it's annoying and sad.
