I've essentially been bedridden for the last week or so.

I can't get out, exercise, clean my apartment, work on my car, go see a movie, etc etc

On top of that I'm having unwelcome pangs of romantic longing (romance, not sex) that I usually suppress pretty well.

I hate it when this happens. :?

Are you sick with the flu or something or are you depressed? Either way I am sorry. I think you should probably call the doctor either way if you haven't already

You sound depressed. I would force myself out.

Usually I find I actually enjoy myself once I get the inertia moving

Not ill, just depressed - ran out of my meds like two weeks ago and now I'm being reminded why I need to take them.

I just need to call the pharmacy...

Please call the pharmacy as soon as possible, then post here to let us know you have done it. We're all worried about you. We are cheering you on. I always become bed-ridden whenever I run out of my antidepressants, too. I know how awful that is and how dirty a house can get.

The other day when I was looking at threads in the Love & Dating forum, I thought to myself, "You know, it doesn't seem like Grisha is around or posting that much anymore ... I wonder what happened to him?" I'd been hoping you'd disappeared because you'd met someone and rode off into the proverbial sunset with them, not because you're going through such a rough patch.

I'm really sorry to hear you're going through this and that you've got 'romance woes' on your mind to boot, since that's something that in many respects can be beyond a person's locus of control and (for me at least) focusing on it can in and of itself be pretty depressing.

Please hang in there and keep us updated.

Thanks for your concern, I went straight to the pharmacy and I'm starting to feel more motivated now. It's like I've been asleep for a few weeks - I should know better than to let this happen.

Now who wants to help me clean my apartment?

You could be dehydrated as I too often feel bedridden when I haven't been drinking water, but I doubt that would trigger romantic longing...
