No, not WP. I became a fan of a certain survivalist blogger (not Rawles) a couple years ago. Only problem is, he's not a fan of me. He keeps saying that "I make the forum a joke" and that I'm "too negative". Yes, I'm a pessimist, and yes, I have a dark view of human nature. Apparently that isn't to this guy's liking. He's kicked me off one of his old forums before, and when he threatened to kick me off his new forum, I said the hell with it, this guy hates me, so I'm not gonna read his blog anymore. Life's too short for his sh*t. The thing is, I will really miss this guy's insights, but as a human being he's a real jerk. Has anybody else had a similar problem, where you liked some sort of minor celebrity but he/she didn't like you? Some people are just oil and water together, and that's the way I am with this guy. He does NOT like me. Now that leaves WP and another small survivalist forum that I'm on. I've been participating in online discussions since the days of Usenet, and today there are just so many jerks and so many ways to get banned from a private forum.

Some bloggers can become really annoying and arrogant. I used to read this one blog by this mom whose child got abducted many years ago but it's clear that this woman hasn't been right in the head over it and it shows in the writing. She keeps coming up with the most ridiculous theories about what happened and of course she's overly religious so that made her theories even more insane. It got too far when she talked about the $20million settlement that Jaycee Dugard got from the state after she was found and the blogger (along with some of her followers) kept comparing her to a money grubber. Anyone who responded to the blog in disagreement either had their comments rejected for posting or got a nasty response from the blogger. I sent her two different thought out replies for debate (which never got posted) before I decided to get nasty with my third one which the blogger finally posted and replied to by calling me "mean-spirited" but if you saw the way she had replied to other posters that were disagreeing with her, you could tell she deserved it.

Well, if its a personal blog, there's not really much you can do about it. You are voluntarily placing yourself into someone elses world. It's their rules. they are under no obligation to be fair, unbiased or... sane. People can still have good ideas and be complete asses in real life. If someone doesn't want to entertain 'negativitiy' on their own blog, they don't have to. I'd say just read but keep your distance. Not everyone is big enough or had the energy to deal with opposing points of view.

Agreed. This happened about four years ago on a different guy's forum, some wealth guru, and HIS butt kissers banded together and got me banned from there too. I wish we still had Usenet.
