I've been teased with these methods:

1: My brother calling my ret*d.

2: My brother saying I'm ret*d.

3: My brother "joking" that I'm interested in cats romantically (I'm actually gay, but I haven't come out to my family. My brother only knows that I'm not interested in guys right now).

4: My acquaintance/friend making the same joke as my brother.

Number them the way I did.

Why did you decide to be a vegetarian? (I'm a notorious meat-eater)

*The idea....of eating an animal, I guess I have sympathy for animals more than humans

*The taste...of meat, I mean a few might have tasted good, but I never really liked meat from my childhood

*The look....of meat, grossed me out indefinitely, because of the sensory thing, I could look at an animal and imagine eating the flesh...ew

*Siblings....of annoyance, they would tell me what animal I was specifically eating and I would imagine it

*Difference.of myself from the pack, I liked having an identity that I controlled

I like doing this too sometimes, but I don't like being accused of fitting myself into a stereotype.

I'm not trying to fit into a stereotype. Heck, I am probably one of the weirdest vegetarians out there. It is just nice to have a lot of options of who you are so you can somewhat fit in with diverse groups.

Sometimes I get accused of trying to fit into a stereotype. Why would you say you are a weird vegetarian?

I'm a weird vegetarian because I don't like vegetables and I am picky.

Well this has gone off topic. We seem to be chatting quite a bit.

* I had an ex-boyfriend who would call me ret*d after we broke up. When he became moderator of an online forum I joined, his first act as moderator was to hack into my profile, change my gender and replace my icon with a gif of a ret*d man. He also changed my status or sig to "durrr" or something like that.

* One semester in high school a girl who was in my homeroom and gym class gave me a hard time by wishing me a happy birthday every single time and day she saw me. I never understood her reasoning behind this as we were in classes together before and outta the blue, the beginning of sophomore year she decides it's time to give me s**t in the most unusual way despite knowing it's not my birthday. Then later in the semester when another girl in our gym class had her birthday and we all just finished singing "happy birthday" to her, the harassing b***h got the class to sing "happy birthday" to me despite the fact that my birthday had passed months ago by then. My biggest regret that I didn't do enough to get her to stop and could've done a hundred different harmless things to get back at her and call it even but I was too much of a braindead coward to go forward with anything.

* A very recent time I was visiting relatives in Texas and they wanted to get Papa Murphy's pizzas for dinner. I knew they would want to get specialty pizzas with lots of vegetable toppings on them but I could only eat pepperoni pizzas and when I asked my grandma to have one of the pizzas be half pepperoni, my dad got angry with me and thought I was being rude and ridiculous for requesting such a thing. The relatives returned with the two specialty pizzas they ordered and before they put the pizzas in the oven, I was allowed to pick off all the onions, olives, mushrooms, etc on one part of the pizzas which would be my share and during the entire process my relatives were laughing and making jokes at me for being such a picky eater. I was taking my time removing the vegetable toppings because so much of it was hidden in the cheese and I wanted to make sure nothing tasted funny when I ate. But I was extremely upset at the fact that my family was being rude and insensitive about my picky eating and my taste bud sensitivity. I was on the verge of crying and took my pizza to another room. I'm certain that had I gone with them to Papa Murphy's, they could've left off the veggie toppings on 1/3 of one of the pizzas at no extra cost and I never would've had to suffer such relentless teasing before the pizzas went into the oven.

All other teasing (most of it endured in school) was mostly followed with the lame excuse of "just giving you a hard time". I think I've been teased for being quiet more than anything. Even worse was that some boys I went to school with would claim to be in love with me and would pretend to be stalking to me because they felt I was incapable of loving or something like that I suppose. One boy at a Catholic School in 8th grade did this to me so much saying "I love you" to me, calling me hot and such, I became so confused and started to think that he was serious but also thinking that I might have feelings for him. It was even more confusing when he kept doing this to me despite the fact that he had a girlfriend and they were the most popular couple in our grade at the time. Well it sucked to know that he was only doing this to give me a hard time because I was believed to be anti-social and of a cold heart. This was years before I would even know about and be diagnosed with AS. I found out in the newspaper that he had died in 2006 and it made me very angry because I knew that I could never confront him about this and make him sorry for the way he treated me and manipulated me. Nothing was worst to me than having someone get away with treating someone so cruelly and then forget or deny that they ever did it and have no remorse for it.

I'm sorry if this was too long but those are just a few of many detailed examples of how people gave me s**t or in their words "a hard time".

I'm still puzzled why my brother thinks I'm a furry.

He said "Oh you're interested in cats" and then he shouted my cat's name awkwardly. How did you infer that it was a lesbian reference?

I am mostly teased for taking everything too seriously, or literally, even though I am not always actually taking things seriously, I just look as if I am.
It does get annoying, as it is just the way I am, and the way I can come across.

How old is your brother? If he's older than you it could be a slur... if he's younger than you then he's probably just looking for your buttons and pushing them. Because that is what little brothers do.
