Hello, I wasn't sure where to post this, but does anyone have a Facebook? If so do u wanna add me? My link is
http://m.facebook.com/profile.php?refid=17&_rdr

Also I am having a problem and need some advice. There's this woman on FB that kind of annoys me. I don't wanna sound rude, but I hate to read and cannot relate to her problems and she sends me like paragraphs long messages on how bad her life is and what's going on with her and other people! Btw she is 41. I don't know how to respond to her because I can't relate to her problems and don't know what to say to her! She's been doing this for 2 months, and on July 4th I deactivated my FB because she was annoying me, so I came back just before (3 weeks later) and she said, 'hi how have u been?" and I said, "good! I was diagnosed with Aspergers on July 7th, so I'm relieved!" Then she said, "well at least u know." Then she proceeds to continue telling me about her horrible life again with like so many words, something I can't relate to, and I don't really feel empathy for! I'm not like this with other peopl's problems, but she just does not stop!! What should I do? Should I block her or tell her something?

Tell her in a nice way--worst case scenario she just won't talk to you at all. Which is not something you'd mind anyway.

Say "I'm sorry you're going through this but I don't relate to these problems. I kinda have a lot going on in my own life at the moment." Even if the only thing bugging you currently is her--its true enough.

If you don't mind talking to her about other stuff non depressing stuff.. then talk about other stuff. But chances are just being blunt with what I said will be enough to get her to not want to talk to you anymore.

She sounds like a miserable person and clearly she isn't making you happy. At that age she should be mature enough to deal with her own problems

For me, it displays my own profile. So I guess it works for you the same way :-)

I'll PM you mine.

I'm pretty sure you can "Unfriend" her on Facebook, and I don't think she'll know. Maybe try putting the cursor over her name, see if an X pops up ... you're set for Friends Only, right?

In my partying days, we would call someone like that a "buzzkill".

Hide her. It sounds like it'd be for the best :).

You aren't a therapist after all, and frankly, it sounds like she has boundry issues.

And if she msg's you, pretend you've gone to the loo, so you've 'missed her' . I do that a LOT.

If she's annoying, you should block her.
Could be a troll.

"Would you please stop telling me about your lifetime problems. I can't relate to it and don't feel anything."

I know how hard that is because someone on my friends keeps recommending friends and I don't know any of them so I ignore the recommendation. I have thought about asking him to please stop sending me friend recommendations because I don't know any of them. But he hasn't done it in a while.
