I would say that my family is more supportive of my AS than most would be. However, even though they are supportive, they are also treat me the same as any parent of a guy in his late twenties - they want me to get a job ASAP and stop relying on them for money.

The pressure to find a job is very frustrating for me and I nearly always lose my temper when they bring it up. I just want them to understand that nobody wants me to get a job more than me, but it is incredibly difficult (and not likely to happen soon).

I hear you.. even having AS tho, you should do what it takes to make waves no matter what. They nag because they care it seems and while that is often tough to hear being an adult, they want you to be ok for the time when they're gone and can't help you anymore.
