My sister (a high school student) just had a friend stay over... They always get along great and have many other friends.

I know that they really enjoy each others company.
So... Why can't I have friends who will care about me?

We live in Sunbury (Penslyvania, USA) and I think i may have to give up. Give up looking for friends that is... but I need a friend!! !
By the way I graduated from high school already... so it's even harder to find someone to interact with.

Please... all I want in life is a true friend.... it doen't matter who or what you are... anyone can be my freind... so long as they care.

Unfortunatly... I don't have an xbox so that won't work. and my ps2 can't get online.
If only there was some one in sunbury who could be my friend... I'm just lost as to what I can do at this point.

I played WoW (PC game) for a while, but I can't say I have experience turning in-game friendships into general online friendships, let alone IRL friendships (my guild members mostly were from around Europe). Although, I do know WoW players who have made friends (and partners!) with fellow players.

car, could you provide a bit more info on yourself, pls?

I'm trying to get the support in place needed for me to get a job. I'm going to work at some point. but not until a job suitable my skills/abilities can be found. I'm not sure if an employer would want me working for them. but I'll post another topic about the job related things.

Certainly. I can tell you whatever you want to know. maybe you could send a message to me?
I'll tell anyone who is interested whatever they want to know about me. within reason of course.
As for this "WoW" you mentioned... is that what you call World of Warcraft?... I've tought about trying it.. but It cost money. and i'm uncertain if it is worth paying for. I do not know what it cost.

There are several MMORPG's similar to WoW that are free.

Try Secondlife.
I found that better than WoW for making friends, personally, and in that, you can explore places, create places and do all sorts of things, including dancing and going to live music concerts, with another person/avatar.

I think you might find it quite interesting once you get the hang of the controls(I could easily login and show you those if you do decide to try it).
It doesn't cost money unless you want to buy stuff in the game or have a home in game (actually, it is a virtual reality, rather than a game).

It is just a download off the net, then you register and login.

I'll take a look at it... or at least I'll search for info about it.

I don't have any real life friends, unless family members count.

You graduated from highschool, but thats not the end.

Its also possible to get friends in the places that you work, especially if you do well at your job people don't seem to stop bugging that crap out of you, especially if you're helpful.

Also if you are--or have any further education ventures (College) its a lot easier to make friends in classes that interest you.

I don't have any real life friends at this point but I did and these are some some possible options that might still be available to you.

Also nothing wrong with talking to people you know online only, its a decent way to supplement any interactions you feel you aren't getting irl.
