Everything has gone to s**t today.

I might have to admit defeat and go move back with my family. I am not coping.

i have 2 weeks to find a place to live.

Im sorry, i know the feeling of not knowing where to live. except i dont have the choice to go back with the family.

moving back with my mother would involve huge amounts of abuse. It would also mean divolging my aspergers diagnosis and losing all sense of freedom. My mother is a religious zealot who will try to shove religion down my kids throats.

I think only erisad can comprehend what a bad option this will be.

I hope i can find a place. I am going to apply for everything including share housing. I may even call my ex husband and ask if he wants to be my house mate over moving back to my family.

I feel so low and numb right now.

Do you have any income?

if so you can apply for adjusted rate apartments...I forgot what they are called, but they charge you based on your income and what you can afford, not a flat rate.

Or you can do what my friend did with her kids. She left her husband who was an abusive drunk and bought a used school bus real cheap...she drove it deep into the forest that had clean fresh running water.
She hunted and picked for food.
She dumpster dived for stuff she needed
she grew a big garden and grew her own food. She learned to make fire. She got a job as a teacher...built a house out of haybarrel and stucco. It looks great btw.
Took her 3 years to do that. Then she saved up money from working and bought the land and they grand fathered the house because it was already built.
When she left her husband, she took her two kids who were both in primary school at the time and raised them off of the land.
Now they both have college degrees and she paid out of pocket for their education because of the money she saved.
She is also an aspie.

Anyway, just goes to show there is always another way.

I have an income. quite a decent one as far as government payments go. I can also afford rent. It is just that i am a young single mother on disability payments and nobody is willing to rent to me.

I have been searching for weeks. Now i can't live hear any longer.

That doesn't seem legal that a landlord can deny you space because of your situation. Then again, I live in a pretty liberal city that has recourse for such discrimination. Is there no other relative you'd feel comfortable moving in with for a short period to give you more time to look?

Some housing units are not allowed to discrimnate like that.

look for apartments that are equal oppurtinty housing, the sign in front will have a house with an = in the middle. apply to them, they cant discriminate against you because of disability, gender race or anything like that.
