For starters I'm not sure if this belongs in this category or if this could be called intense procrastination but here goes...

All through out my life I've been someone who can procrastinate on a subject for extended periods of time. I usually get stuck on already created fantasy worlds... Star Wars, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and I can find my self for up to 1-8 hours day (depending on what I have to do during the day) going over the various characters situations and what not in my head.

There are periods of time in my life where the intensity of this is greatly reduced but right now this issue is happening again. I've been stuck on Game of Thrones since June and I can't stop thinking about it, I could go for many hours each day.

This can cause a lot of problems when I want to get something else done, because instead of getting what I need to get done, done... I end up procrastinating. I see this as escaping from your problems issue at times... but it also provides me a great deal of stimulation, comfort, and happiness.

I'm wondering about a few things here, please share your thoughts.

Does anyone else happen to do this?
Is this type of behavior related to a diagnosis with Aspergers?
If it is not related to Aspergers, is it related to any other mental health issue at all?
Any other thoughts...?

Well... if you do have this tendency of "getting stuck" just try at least to get stuck into something cooler and smarter then tv shows. Consider modern military aviation, filosophy or big ships.

Game of Thrones pretty much sucks, so does Star Wars for most intents and purposes imho
