I will be going to school in January, but my parents forbid me to get a student loan. What they are basically telling me is that if I can't pay for my entire college education using the money I have in savings (which isn't enough to pay for all of my education), then I will have to drop out. I can't even pay for the University of Houston using all my savings, much less the other schools I got accepted to.
So now, I am worried that my only options are to (a) get a student loan behind their backs, or (b) be completely submissive to them and use my savings, and maybe not finish school.
What do I do?

I had to barrow $8000 in 93-96 (3 full years) at one of the cheapest schools in Texas.
Your parents are wrong!! !! !! !! !! ! Oh its also dumb to save money for school.
You do not need their permission to barrow and could do it without their knowledge
you will need a P.O. Box as your permanent address. Plus the names of 3 relatives friend/ address that want tell your parents. Infact its non of there bussiness. If they
pay your 100% cost do it their way . Otherwise do it your way.
