Hi am on the autistic spectrum I have a dad who is autistic possibly ADD as well. Anyway he finds opportunities to put me down. He also does this to my mum. He's nice to my sister he praises her in front of people. If we meet people he'll tell them how well my sister is doing and we'll either ignore any of my acheivements or actively put me down (e.g. she can't do x, she's not very good at x, shes not very logical). He's only said about one nice thing to me and that was when I got a 2.1. He's also told me mum that she's not clever enough to do certain things, he told me mum that she wouldn't pass her nursing course (she did).
My mum once said to him you can be a nasty bastard once and he turned around and said I know. I know he is autistic because he went to a special school (for average or above average children on the austic spectrum and/or ADD) and when he watches movies he doesn't generally understand the relationships between the characters even if the film is quite simple. I wonder if he doesn't have another disorder in addition to autism. Could it be possible that he is also ADD? Sorry if this statement causes any offence, but I've heard people with ADD can be quite spiteful, is this right? Would that explain his behaviour?
